Treasurer’s report

$1600 balance. We need to hit the fair share hard. Will get a nice increase with the proceeds from Gatornationals, as well as the upcoming Daytona trip (students must pay fair share in full in order to attend).

Fundraising

Cookie dough fundraiser ends today. We will do gift baskets for spring concert again. Mrs. Netardus will let us know more about that as the time gets closer. This is a big fundraiser. Chocolate bar fundraiser starts this week.

We need a new marimba (#4 needs to be replaced). We also need another set of vibes, both for next fall. Each cost approx. $3500. John Netardus suggested an alumni event – project specific drive to raise money. If someone is willing to take this on, Mr. Pirzer is fine with that. Could also do Donors Choose, which is a program for teachers to put needs on a site, and others donate. Donorschoose.org. Intern Nicole will check this out.

VP/ Volunteer Coordinator Report

Gatornationals

3/10 and 3/11 – all went well. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to, and did exactly what they were supposed to do. We had 43 people each day. Mr. Pirzer thanked Mike for coordinating the event. Santa Fe had more students. That may change next year.

Uniform Report

Adela says we are doing OK at this point in time. Tuxedo jackets will need to be cleaned after this season.

Next meeting: Monday, April 16th.

Meeting adjourned approximately 7:40pm.

Indoor Guard and Percussion Updates

Coming off of another very successful weekend for our guard and percussion, I have several updates for you as we draw closer to State Finals.

First, our guard will have a competition this Saturday, March 10th at Fleming Island HS. The girls are scheduled to perform at 3:50 PM. We will have the detailed schedule to you later this week.

The drum line will have their next competition on Saturday, March 17th at Osceola HS down near St Petersburg. The line is scheduled to perform at 7:48 PM.

For State, the guard will perform on Friday, March 30th between 6:00 and 10:30 PM at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Exact time will be announced after March 17th.

The percussion will have State on Saturday, March 31st between 7:00 and 9:00 PM at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Exact times will be posted after March 17th.

State will be a very late night for both the guard and percussion and I am sure some of you may want to spend the night in Daytona instead of coming home. The Daytona Beach Hilton is running a special room rate for FFCC members. You can check out this offer at ffcc.org. We are not making this a formal overnight trip, but if you want to get a room for you and your students (or students friends) I encourage you to check this out. The Hilton is right across the street from the Ocean Center.

**Parking at the Ocean Center will be $10.00 per car and admission into State will be $12.00 for Friday and $16.00 for Saturday.

Please email Mr. Pirzer at pirzerb@gm.sbac.edu if you have any further questions.
