Our First Band Booster Meeting is in September

Put this important date on your calendar. Our first 2009/2010 GHS Band Booster meeting is scheduled for September 14th at 7:00 p.m. Booster meetings are a great place to learn about our fundraisers, our volunteer and supply needs, our marching practice and competition routines and to ask questions of Mr. Pirzer and band booster officers. We do hope to see you there! (An additional reminder will be posted prior to September 14th).

Band Camp - Supplies & Volunteers Needed

Band camp begins on Monday!!! The band needs volunteers for next week. If you are able to help, please e-mail Bruce Jennings. [Bruce Jennings, our volunteer coordinator, can be reached at his e-mail address: bruce@ehsfamily.com (this is not a link)].We need 4 or 5 for each day.

We also need snacks, fruit and cups for next week. We are going to use the water coolers instead of bottled water for camp. Please remember that there is a $100.00 camp fee. Medical Forms will be available Monday at camp. See you there!

Band Camp: Arrive early. Our Drum Majors say, "If you're on time, you're late!"

Band Camp #1: June 8th thru 11th, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Band Camp #2: August 8th and 10th through 14th, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Campers must wear a white or mostly white shirt, black shorts, socks (students will not be allowed to march without them), tennis shoes, and instrument, if applicable. Students should bring a thermos of water, sun screen, a cap or visor, and bug spray. Snacks and lunch should not include candies, cheese, things that melt or easily spoil. Milk products are not recommended before practice, as this tends to upset stomaches in the heat.
